Teach For India Student Alumni Outcomes Study (Ongoing)

Populi is currently partnering with Teach For India to conduct an in-depth Student Alumni Study to understand the educational, professional, personal, and civic trajectories of young people who were part of TFI classrooms. This ongoing study aims to build a clearer picture of long-term outcomes such as secondary and higher education completion, employment pathways, wellbeing, social capital, and civic engagement while identifying the factors that shape these journeys.

Using a mixed-methods approach, Populi is designing and implementing large-scale surveys, AI-assisted call interviews, and targeted in-depth interviews with key subgroups, including young women, students who discontinued schooling, and entrepreneurial alumni. The study will also generate case stories of alumni. The insights emerging from this work will help TFI strengthen alumni support structures, refine program strategy, and build a robust evidence base that captures the long-term impact of a TFI education.
